Las Vegas has slipped a spot from Pollstar's 2023 concert market rankings, sliding to third place and passed by No. 2 Los Angeles. Its total gross for the year came in at just over $600 million, a nearly 16% gain thanks to it being the "residency-heavy, legacy-act heavy, special edition-heavy nature of the market." There was also the opening of the Sphere in September, a technological and audio-visual wonder introduced with one of the world’s biggest bands, U2. Even with just one run of shows, the Sphere still placed as the world’s fifth-highest grossing arena.
